Clyde Martin Harvey

Clyde Martin Harvey (born November 9, 1948 in Trinidad and Tobago ) is a Trinidadian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Saint George's in Grenada .

Life

After attending school in Belmont, Clyde Harvey studied at the regional seminary in Tunapuna and received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Port of Spain on June 27, 1976 .

In addition to various tasks in pastoral care, he has been active as a philosophy lecturer since his ordination. Until 1979 he was also a sub-rain of the regional seminar . He undertook further studies in 1985 at Lancaster University in England and from 1985 to 1988 at the University of California, Berkeley . Since 2011 he has been Episcopal Vicar for the clergy in the Archdiocese of Port of Spain.

On June 23, 2017, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Saint George's in Grenada. The outgoing Apostolic Nuncio in Grenada, Archbishop Nicolas Girasoli , donated him his episcopal ordination on July 29 of the same year. Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Port of Spain, Joseph Everard Harris CSSp , and the former Bishop of Saint George's in Grenada, Sydney Anicetus Charles .
