Joseph Everard Harris CSSp (born March 19, 1942 in Surrey Village , Lopinot Municipality, Tunapuna-Piarco Region , Trinidad ) is a Trinidadian religious and emeritus Roman Catholic Archbishop of Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago .

Life

Joseph Everard Harris joined the Congregation of the Holy Ghost Fathers in, put on 3 November 1967, the profession , and received on 14 July 1968, the priestly ordination .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on July 8, 2011 Coadjutor Archbishop of Port of Spain. The episcopal ordination donated him the Archbishop of Port of Spain, Edward Joseph Gilbert CSsR , on September 14th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Malcolm Patrick Galt CSSp, Old Bishop of Bridgetown , and Gabriel Malzaire , Bishop of Roseau .

With Edward Joseph Gilbert's retirement , he succeeded him on December 26, 2011 as Archbishop of Port of Spain. Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on October 19, 2017.
