Anthony Monn

Anthony Monn , actually Anton Monn , (born March 17, 1944 ) is a German singer , composer and music producer .

He achieved his greatest successes with the productions for Amanda Lear , whose hits he also composed, the disco star Fancy , Sofia Rotaru ( your tenderness ) , Al Bano & Romina Power ( Semper Semper , 1986), the party hit group Saragossa Band ( Big Bamboo , Agadou , Zabadak ) and the disco act Orlando Riva Sound ( Fire on the Water , Indian Reservation ), of which he and Rainer Pietsch belonged as a group member. Fancy's second career began with songs by Monn such as Slice Me Nice , Chinese Eyes and Lady Of Ice .

He also appeared as a pop singer , but even his better-known titles, including Lucky (1978), Johnny & Mary (the German cover version of the Robert Palmer hit) and Du go away as Marion & Anthony with Marion Maerz ( Tu t ' en vas by Alain Barrière in German), not commercially successful.

In the second half of the 1980s he produced for Peter Schilling , who wanted to build on old successes from NDW times, and brought out the record Tommi Piper sings Alf , the single from which Hi Alf, this is Rhonda (refrain / Rhonda's voice: Amélie Sandmann ) was able to place herself in the German charts for twelve weeks and later experienced a small revival on YouTube . The title Zuppa Romana , which he produced for the Schrott nach 8 group founded by Walter Fricke, was just as successful .
