The anti-racist and anti-fascist advice Thuringia is an annual political event in the state of Thuringia .

history

It has been taking place at the beginning of November since 1991, at different locations in Thuringia, and its continuity and breadth is unique in Germany. In 2014, the advice was supported by an alliance of 55 associations, parties, trade unions, non-party initiatives and individuals. The event buildings are mostly public buildings, the event locations are often chosen because of an allegedly "politically explosive climate" in the region. Since the turn of the millennium, advice has taken place in the following places:

The prelude is often a warning through the respective location. The main program consists of workshops and lectures on current political issues from the areas of group- related enmity . In addition, as speakers u. a. Experts in the respective subject areas are invited.

In April 2013, in protest against the theory of extremism , the Antifascist Council rejected a prize of € 4,000 that was awarded to it by the nationwide competition “Active for Democracy and Tolerance” for its civil society commitment “in the fight against right-wing violence, anti-Semitism and racism”.

In 2015, the anti-racist and anti-fascist advice was awarded the " Georg Bernard badge" named after the German trade unionist and resistance fighter by IG Metall district center for its long-term commitment .
