Antoine Pascal Sane

Antoine Pascal Sane (born March 25, 1934 in Ziguinchor ) is a former Senegalese diplomat .

Career

After studying sociology and humanities , he was Chief of Staff from 1963 to 1964 in the Ministry of Education and Culture and in the Ministry of Information. From May 1964 to March 1965, Sane was appointed commissioner for information, broadcasting and tourism, before becoming commissioner for art and literature in 1966. From June 1966, Sane was in charge of relations between the Ministry of Culture and Parliament until he was ambassador in Beirut / Lebanon and Ankara / Turkey for four years from May 1968 . In April 1973 he moved to the Embassy in Brazzaville in the Republic of the Congo . Further stations as an ambassador followed. So he was in Kinshasa / Zaire until the beginning of 1975 and at the same time from September 1972 to January 1975 cumulatively ambassador in Bangui / Central African Republic and Libreville in Gabon . He also worked as ambassador to Chad , Rwanda and Tunis (1975–1978) from 1972 to 1975 . From July 1978 Sane was accredited as ambassador in Beijing / China and at the same time in Pyongyang , before he was ambassador in Moscow and simultaneously in Budapest / Hungary from 1981 to 1994 .
