Anton Bal (born November 29, 1963 in Yuri) is a Papua New Guinean clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Madang .

Life

The Bishop of Kundiawa , Wilhelm Kurtz SVD , ordained him as a priest on December 17, 1991 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on June 5, 2007 titular bishop of Tamalluma and auxiliary bishop in Kundiawa. The episcopal ordination donated him the Bishop of Kundiawa, Johannes Henricus J. Te Maarssen SVD, on September 10th of the same year; Co - consecrators were Francisco Montecillo Padilla , Apostolic Nuncio in Papua New Guinea , and Francesco Sarego SVD, Bishop of Goroka .

On January 12, 2009 Benedict XVI appointed him. to the Bishop of Kundiawa. Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Madang on July 26, 2019. The inauguration took place on October 31 of the same year.
