Anton stupid

Anton Dumm (* 1938 ), known as "Dummse Tünn", was a well-known personality in Cologne's red-light district in the 1960s .

Life

Dumm completed an apprenticeship as a pipe fitter and became conspicuous as a teenager through criminal acts. At the beginning of the 1960s he became known nationwide as a pimp and was considered a symbol of Cologne's red light district. Numerous reports and charges against Dumm remained unsuccessful until a special representative of the Ministry of the Interior was appointed to fight crime in Cologne, who also dedicated himself in particular to the investigation against Dumm. In December 1965, Dumm was eventually arrested and later because of rape , pimping , personal injury and driving without a license in October 1966 to three years' imprisonment convicted. In the course of the negotiations there were threats of assassination against the court and attempts to intimidate judges and prosecutors.

Even after his imprisonment, Dumm remained active in the milieu and fought with “Schäfers Nas” for supremacy. On September 20, 1975, there was an argument on the street in which Dumm was knocked unconscious by Schäfer. Ernst Hofbauer's film “ Hot Pavement Cologne” (premiere: August 31, 1967) with Arthur Brauss and Klaus Löwitsch is based on the story of “Dummse Tünn”.

Stupid was also known as the bodyguard of Romy Schneider . Today he runs a riding stables in Cologne-Rath . In 2009, Dumm hit the headlines because of a kidnapping in the courtyard in which his son was involved. Dumm was in a relationship with the former innkeeper Ruth for over 25 years and married from 1998 until her death in 2009.
