Anton Gottlieb Georg contradicting (born November 26, 1787 , † October 6, 1842 in Cologne ) was a German lawyer, Oldenburg Privy Councilor and member of the consistory.

Life

Anton Gottlieb Georg Gegäßer was the son of the Oldenburg chancellery, Carl Anton Gegensame (1753–1795). After the early death of his father, he grew up in Varel and later attended high school in Oldenburg (Oldenburg) . From 1807 he studied law at the universities in Giessen and from 1809 in Heidelberg , where he became a member of the Corps Hannovera Heidelberg . It was not until the spring of 1812, in the turmoil of the administrative reorganization of the French era, that he found his first job with the tribunal of first instance in Nienburg / Weser in the department of the mouths of the Weser . With the end of the French occupation in 1813, he returned to the Duchy of Oldenburg and entered the judicial service there. The opponent became assessor at the Neuchâtel district court in 1814 , which had its seat in Neuchâtel Castle . In 1815 he became consistorial councilor in Oldenburg and in 1816 a lawyer. In 1829 he became a chancellery council, in 1840 he became a privy councilor of the Grand Duchy and a member of the consistory of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oldenburg and of the general directorate for the poor.

From 1816 he was married to Anna Sophie von Brandt († 1821), daughter of the Reich Chamber Court Procurator Johann Adolph Georg von Brandt in Wetzlar.
