Anton Gschwendtner

Anton Gschwendtner (* 1984 in Freising ) is a German chef .

Career

Gschwendtner comes from a family of restaurateurs from Tünzhausen . In 2000, after an internship at the Hotel Königshof in Munich with Götz Rothacker, he began training as a chef in the Forsthaus am See in Possenhofen . Then he went to the Hotel Bareiss in Baiersbronn and to the Acquarello restaurant at Mario Gamba in Munich (one Michelin star). He moved to Johann Lafers Restaurant Le Val d'Or in Stromburg (two Michelin stars ) and then to Petermann's Kunststuben in Switzerland with Horst Petermann in Küssnacht (two Michelin stars). In 2005 he went to Atelier & Garden in the Bayerischer Hof in Munich for nine years - last as a sous chef .

In April 2015 he became head chef at Sofitel Bayerpost in Munich, expanding his knowledge in intensive internships with Harald Wohlfahrt and Christian Jürgens . In 2011 the young chef himself passed the master chef exam. In 2016 he became head chef at Délice La Brasserie in Munich. Then he cooked in Das Loft in Vienna .

Since 2018 he has been head chef at the Olivio restaurant in Stuttgart, which was awarded a Michelin star in 2019 and a second in 2020.
