Anton sleeve , Antonius sleeve (* 21st January 1637 in Kranichfeld ; † 21st August 1712 in Siegen ) was a German architect of the Baroque .

Life

In 1656, Hülse became a member of the Jesuit order . He was employed as a carpenter in the construction of the college in Münstereifel in 1667 , and can later be found in construction work in Cologne (1672–76), Emmerich (1677) and Osnabrück (1679). His four-year stay in Cologne probably served to study the city's numerous church buildings. He was born in Thuringia and did not appear as an architect before 1672, but is listed in the catalog of the Osnabrück Jesuit College as architectus in 1679 . From 1680 to 1693 he stayed in Coesfeld ; At the same time, from 1683 onwards, he built what is probably his most important building, the Marktkirche in Paderborn. Further stations were Hildesheim , Koblenz , Münster and finally Siegen, where he died on August 21, 1712 at the age of 75.

Hülse was considered the "Westphalian house architect" of the Jesuit order in the late 17th and early 18th centuries.
