Anton Konrad (judge)

Anton Konrad (born October 21, 1883 in Mallersdorf , Lower Bavaria , † November 22, 1955 in Munich ) was a German judge and state secretary in Bavaria in the Ehard II cabinet .

biography

Anton Konrad studied law in Munich with the first state examination in 1907 and the second state examination in 1911, he also earned a doctorate. He worked as a lawyer until he did military service in World War I. In 1919 Konrad first became a district attorney and then a district judge. In 1931 he joined the Regional Court of Munich I as a regional judge and was its director from 1935 to 1945. After the end of the Second World War, in 1945 he worked as a ministerial director in the Bavarian Ministry of Justice . From 1949 to 1951 he was State Secretary there. He was then appointed President of the Bavarian Supreme Court and held this position until he retired in 1954.

From 1951 to 1955 Konrad was chairman of the German Association of Judges . Here he campaigned in particular for adequate judges' salaries.
