Anton Wladimirowitsch Schunin ( Russian Антон Владимирович Шунин ; born January 27, 1987 in Moscow ) is a Russian football goalkeeper .

Career

Schunin was trained as a goalkeeper at FK Dynamo Moscow . Between the posts from 1994 to 2004 he played in the youth team. This was followed by regular missions for the second team.

He made his first team debut on April 21, 2007 in the Premjer League against FK Chimki .

In the league game against Zenit Saint Petersburg on November 17, 2012, Schunin was injured by an attack with a firecracker in his eyes and suffered burns to the conjunctiva, cornea and eyelids. The referee then stopped the game. The Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev demanded severe punishment for the perpetrators after this incident.

National team

Between 2002 and 2003, Schunin was a member of the Russian U-19 national team. In 2007 he played six games for the Russian U-21 national soccer team.

On August 21, 2007 in the friendly against the Polish selection, his first appearance for the Russian senior team took place. The match ended in a draw (2: 2). For his second international match he came on November 11, 2011 in a 1-1 draw against Greece.

At the European Championships in 2012 , Shunin was in the squad of the Russian team, but he was only the third goalkeeper behind Vyacheslav Malafeyev and Igor Akinfejew and did not come to a use during the tournament.
