Anton Urban (entrepreneur)
Anton Urban (born December 6, 1827 in Vienna ; † August 5, 1885 ibid) was an Austrian manufacturer.
In 1848, Anton Urban took over the nail smithy from his father Ignaz Urban in the Vienna suburb of Wieden . In Vienna- Mariahilf he set up Brevillier & Co. and Urban & Sons for the manufacture of precision screws . The company in Floridsdorf was founded by his sons - right next to one of the main customers - the Floridsdorf locomotive factory - in 1900 with the company of the Brevillier family Brevillier & Comp. in Neunkirchen , merged to form Brevillier & Co. and A. Urban & Sons .
