Antonio Faraò (* 1965 in Rome ) is an Italian jazz pianist.

Faraò studied classical piano with Adriano Della Giustina and completed his training at the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Milan in 1983 . As a teenager, he performed at numerous festivals in Italy, France and Greece, was invited to radio and television appearances and received several Italian prizes, including the New Talent Prize at the XI. Musical Review 1987 and the Four Roses as Pianist of the Year 1991. In 1998 he won the international Martial Solal Concours .

Faraò worked as a sideman a. a. with John Abercrombie , Gary Bartz , Billy Cobham , Ronnie Cuber , Chico Freeman , Richard Galliano , Antonio Hart , Lee Konitz , Biréli Lagrène , Didier Lockwood , Branford Marsalis , Tony Scott and Buster Williams . In 1999, Enja released his first album as a band leader. He led the trio Encore (with Martin Gjakonovski and Dejan Terzic ) and the quartet Far Out (Gjakonovski, Terzic and Bob Bonisolo ).
