Antonius Adamske (born July 23, 1992 in Bassum ) is a German conductor , organist and musicologist for historically informed performance practice .

Live and act

Antonius Adamske majored in conducting at the Hanover University of Music, Theater and Media with Walter Nussbaum and historical organ at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with Tobias Lindner. This was followed by master classes and private studies with Jörg Straube , Andrea Marcon and Sabine Erdmann ; he worked as assistant to Laurence Cummings , artistic director at the Göttingen International Handel Festival.

Adamske is chief conductor of the Monteverdi Choir Hamburg and artistic director of the consortium vocale berlin , which acts as the studio choir for the Berlin music academies. Furthermore, as a university lecturer , he is in charge of the Clausthal University Choir and with interdisciplinary lectures on the natural science aspect of music. Since 2016 he has been the project manager of the Göttingen Baroque Orchestra and, together with Henryk Böhm, presented a complete recording of Bach's cantatas for solo bass. He performed numerous forgotten works, including some German premieres such as François-Joseph Gossec's " Le triomphe de la republique " or Jean-Joseph Cassanéa de Mondonville's Psalms. In addition, he gave master classes on historically informed performance practice, including in France, the Czech Republic and China, and worked with artists such as the baroque dance company "Hartig" from Prague.

Adamske attracted particular attention as the initiator of the four-day festival Nikolausberger Musiktage and as a guest conductor of numerous renowned ensembles.
