Antony Pappusamy
Antony Pappusamy (born October 1, 1949 in Marambady , Tamil Nadu , India ) is an Indian clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Madurai .
Life
Antony Pappusamy was ordained a priest on December 28, 1981 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Zaba and auxiliary bishop in Madurai on November 5, 1998 . The Archbishop of Madurai, Marianus Arokiasamy , donated him episcopal ordination on February 4, 1999; Co- consecrators were Peter Fernando , Bishop of Tuticorin , and Edward Francis , Bishop of Sivagangai .
On November 10, 2003 he was appointed the first bishop of the diocese of Dindigul established on the same date .
Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Madurai on July 26, 2014.
