Antun Dobronić

Antun Dobronić (born April 2, 1878 in Jelsa on Hvar , Austria-Hungary ; † December 12, 1955 in Zagreb , Croatia ) was a Yugoslav composer.

Dobronić was a student of Vítězslav Novák at the Prague Conservatory and from 1920 to 1940 teacher at the Zagreb Music Academy . He composed eight symphonies , thirteen operas (the libretti of which he wrote mostly himself) and six ballets , chamber music works, choirs, cantatas and songs .
