Apocalypse in Six Flags Magic Mountain ( Valencia , CA , USA ) is a wooden roller coaster the manufacturer Great Coasters International . It opened on May 23, 2009 as Terminator Salvation: The Ride . Originally the train was supposed to be called Terminator: The Coaster , but later it was renamed according to the recently released film Terminator: The Redemption (English: Terminator Salvation ). The roller coaster has been running under the name Apocalypse since 2011 .
It stands where the Psyclone roller coaster rode its laps for 18 years. Its 877 m long route, the construction of which cost around 10 million US dollars , reaches a height of 29 m and has a 27 m high first drop . The top speed is 81 km / h.
Trains
Apocalypse owns two Millennium Flyer trains with twelve cars each. Two people (in a row) can be seated in each carriage. The passengers must be at least 1.22 m tall to be allowed to ride. However, the twelfth car of each train is solely responsible for the electronics of the on-board audio system and offers no space for passengers.
