The Apostolic Prefecture of Jian'ou ( lat. : Apostolica praefectura Kienovensis ) is in the People's Republic of China Located Roman Catholic Apostolic Prefecture based in Jian'ou .

history

The Jian'ou Apostolic Prefecture was founded on May 6, 1931 by Pope Pius XI. established with the Apostolic Constitution Quae ad religionis from cessions of territory by the Apostolic Vicariate Foochow as a Mission sui juris Jian'ou . The mission sui juris Jian'ou was founded on January 8, 1938 by Pius XI. raised to the Apostolic Prefecture.
