The Aqberel ( Kazakh Ақ Берел ; Russian Белая Берель Belaja Berel "White Berel") is a right tributary of the Buchtarma in eastern Kazakhstan .
The Aqberel arises on the southern slope of the Belucha , the highest peak of the Katun ridge in the Altai Mountains . It is fed by the local glaciers . The Aqberel flows in a south-westerly direction. Larger tributaries are the Karaberel and Arassan from the left and Yasovaya from the right. The Aqberel finally turns south and flows into the Buchtarma flowing to the west near Berel . The Aqberel has a length of 65 km. Its catchment area covers 1040 km². The mean discharge near the mouth is around 25 m³ / s. The Aqberel reaches its greatest maximum discharge in June with 96 m³ / s.
