The Arado Ar 67 was a single-seat German biplane test fighter with an open cockpit made by Arado Flugzeugwerke .

development

The aircraft was developed in 1933 on the basis of the Arado Ar 65 as a test vehicle for the Rolls-Royce-Kestrel engine with 488 hp. The structure was largely adopted from the Ar 65, it was smaller and lighter, but otherwise only changed in detail. So the horizontal stabilizer was moved behind the vertical stabilizer, which increased the spin safety. This arrangement was typical for all subsequent single-engine Arado models and was consistently retained up to the Arado Ar 231 .

The staggered wings had two spars and were made of wood. Upper and lower wings had ailerons and were connected by N-legs. The main landing gear was aerodynamically clad. There was a grinding spur at the stern.
