Arantza Moreno Fernández (born January 16, 1995 in Ermua ) is a Spanish javelin thrower .

Athletic career

Arantza Moreno gained her first international experience in 2011 at the World Youth Championships near Lille , where she was eliminated from the qualification with a width of 41.51 m. In 2013 she finished fifth at the Junior European Championships in Rieti with 52.70 m and in 2014 she was eighth at the Junior World Championships in Eugene with 52.08 m. In 2015 she finished fifth at the U23 European Championships in Tallinn with 55.32 m and two years later she came eleventh at the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz with 54.65 m. In 2018 she took part in the European Championships in Berlin for the first time, but was eliminated there with 56.33 m in the qualification. Then she won the silver medal behind the Colombian María Lucelly Murillo at the Ibero-American Championships in Trujillo with 59.37 m . In 2019 she took part in the European Games in Minsk , where she finished 14th with 55.28 m.

In 2019 Moreno became the Spanish javelin champion.
