Arbaz is a political municipality and a civil parish in the district of Sion in the French-speaking part of the canton of Valais in Switzerland .

geography

Arbaz is located on the northern side of the Rhone Valley about 5 kilometers north of the canton capital Sion . The highest point of the municipality is located south of the Wildhorn on the Col des Audannes at an altitude of 2886  m above sea level. M. The municipality consists of the village of Arbaz and the settlements of Le Lazier and Mayens-d'Arbaz. The neighboring communities of Arbaz are Ayent in the north and east , Grimisuat in the south and Savièse in the west .
