The Jena Labor Court , a labor court system , was one of six Thuringian labor courts . On January 1, 2014, it was merged with the Gera Labor Court based in Gera. The reason was an amendment to the Thuringian law for the implementation of the Labor Court Act (ThürAGArbGG) by the Thuringian Household Supplementary Act 2012, which also merged the Eisenacher with the Suhl and Erfurt labor courts. The building is currently being used by the Jena youth station, a facility of the public prosecutor, police and youth welfare office.

Seat and District of the Court

The court had its seat in Jena at August-Bebel-Str. 3 and, under its director Thomas Hanke, was locally responsible for legal disputes from the city of Jena, the Saale-Holzland district and the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district, whereby his substantive jurisdiction resulted from the Labor Court Act .

Superior courts

The Thuringian Regional Labor Court and the Federal Labor Court were superordinate to the Jena labor court .
