Reviews

The lexicon of international films wrote that the film did not succeed in “the dramaturgically sought-after confrontation and rapprochement between urban eco-activist and wild nature boy” , “because it merely transferred the rules of the Western genre to another landscape” , “without affecting them To let in regularities " . It is "clichéd in the figure drawing and only exciting in parts" .

Cinema magazine doubted that "an ecologist and a poacher will become friends if they trudge through the wilderness long enough" and derided the film with the equation "tough men + tough wilderness = real friends" . The plot is based on "action tags, not plausibility" .

backgrounds

The film was shot in British Columbia . Its production amounted to an estimated 6 million US dollars . It was released in German cinemas in February 1995.
