The Ares Tower is a high-rise office building in the 22nd district of Vienna, Donaustadt . It was built between 1999 and 2001 according to plans by Heinz Neumann in the Donau City district . As with other buildings in Donau City, a mythological figure gave it its name, in this case the Greek god of war Ares .

The approximately 100 meter high building is one of the tallest structures in Vienna and was completed in summer 2001 almost at the same time as Tech Gate Vienna . The Ares Tower has a gross floor area of 61,000 m² and a rentable area of around 40,000 m², spread over 26 floors.

With the subsequent installation of troughs with tall bamboo plants, the winds on the ground, on the so-called Danube plate, which were uncomfortable for people due to the building, were dampened. For buildings erected later, such as the DC Towers next door, winds were already taken into account in the planning.
