Heinz Neumann (architect)

Heinz Neumann (born August 30, 1941 in Vienna ) is a Viennese architect . His architecture and engineering office Neumann + Partner is best known to the public for its office and high-rise buildings , most of which are in Vienna, but it also designs residential buildings and interior fittings.

Life

Neumann completed his architecture studies at the TU Vienna from 1960 to 1967 , during which time he worked for the Finnish architects Alvar Aalto and Erko Virkkunen, as well as the Swiss architect Jean Serrex. He then worked for Eugen Wörle's architecture office and, from 1968, for Karl Schwanzer . From 1969 to 1970 he was head of the construction and operational organization department at Ford's Vienna plant . Since obtaining his civil engineering license in 1973, he has been a freelancer. His office employs around 70 people. Every year around 20 to 25 projects are developed and planned, from high-rise buildings to furniture design. Neumann has been teaching at the Vienna University of Technology since 1999.
