Argerich - Bloody Daughter is Stéphanie Argerich's first documentary. It was realized by the production companies Idéale Audience (France) and Intermezzo Films (Switzerland) in co-production with Radio Télévision Suisse , Swiss Radio and Television and Arte France.
The film premiered on November 15, 2012 in the Auditorium Parco della Musica at the Rome Film Festival. The DVD for the film was released on October 21, 2013 and is distributed by Naxos Germany . Arte first broadcast the documentary on December 18, 2013 on German television. The cinema release in Germany was on January 30, 2014.

In 2013, Argerich - Bloody Daughter was awarded the Fipa d'Or in the Music and Performing Arts category at the International Festival for Audiovisual Programs Fipa (Fipa - Festival International de Programmes Audiovisuels) in Biarritz , France, and the Prix Michel Mitrani , awarded by France Télévisions in memory of the founder of the festival. Also in 2013, the film received the Prix Italia award in the music and art documentary category.
