The Arget is a river in France that runs in the Ariège department in the Occitanie region . It rises under the name Fournez in the Pyrenees , on the northern flank of the Arize massif , at Cap du Carmil (1615 m), in the south-western municipality of Le Bosc . The Arget generally drains east-northeast through the Pyrénées Ariégeoises Regional Nature Park and flows into the Ariège as a left tributary after around 23 kilometers on the northern outskirts of Foix .
