Ariane Jacobi b. Richert (born August 21, 1966 in Cologne ) is a German jazz singer , presenter , journalist , speaker and breath, voice and speech trainer.

Career

She studied at the University of Cologne , the subjects German , art history and music education . During her studies she performed as a singer with various jazz formations. Since completing her studies (Magistra Artium), she has been working full-time as a jazz singer (Ariane Jacobi Quartet / Quintet) and as a presenter as well as a speaker, journalist (field of art / culture / music) and voice trainer.

Ariane Jacobi worked for Westdeutscher Rundfunk and Deutschlandfunk as a text writer and presenter for music programs in the fields of jazz , folk and rock . She also works in the art and culture department. She moderated the WDR5 formats Jazz twenty 5 , Musikbonus und Spielart (WDR5) and Schellackschätze (WDR4). She worked for Deutsche Welle for several years as a newscaster as well as a presenter and author. For the North Rhine-Westphalian regional broadcaster center.tv (Cologne and Düsseldorf ) she moderated the TV show Stadt talk , in which she alternated with Nathalie Bergdoll to interview prominent contemporaries. As a spokeswoman, recordings were made for the archdiocese (Cardinal Meisner / Christmas CD (ars liturgica, art publisher Maria Laach)) and for Deutsche Welle. She can be seen as a speaker at readings (mostly musical readings). Ariane Jacobi works as a freelance voice trainer, u. a. as a personality trainer at the Academy for Management, Communication in Bonn.

Jazz singer

Frank Jacobi (flute, clarinet, alto and tenor saxophone), Olaf Polziehn (piano), Rolf Marx (guitar), Ingmar Heller (bass) and Joost van Schaik took Ariane Jacobi Jacobi CD Big City Is for Me , which on April 21, 2008 with AO-NRW and a short time later in Japan with M&I (songs from the American Songbook). At concerts she also sprinkles in her own compositions in the swing style. Her current band includes jazz musicians from the German scene, Martin Sasse (piano), Rolf Marx (guitar) and Volker Heinze (double bass).
