Ariane Radfan , married Ariane Hornung , (born April 5, 1965 in Sangerhausen ) is a former German volleyball player .

Ariane Radfan played a total of 282 times in the national teams of the GDR and Germany . In 1988 she took part with the GDR national volleyball team at the Olympic Games in Seoul , where she finished fifth. In 1990 she was voted volleyball player of the year . Ariane Radfan played for SC Dynamo Berlin (six times GDR champion ), Tatting Verdi Modena and USC Münster . Today Ariane Hornung works as an IT training consultant in Münster . Her sister Constance Radfan also played in the German national volleyball team.

She was named Sportswoman of the Year by the Sports Association of the City of Münster at the Ball des Sports in 1994.
