Armansgesäß is a deserted area in the area of the municipality of Linsengericht (Hessen) in the Main-Kinzig district in the state of Hesse .

location

Armansgesäß is 140 m above sea level , in the western area of the local area of Altenhaßlau . The field name Im Armengesäß still exists on the Schandelbach .

history

The village belonged to the Altenhaßlau office , which belonged to the Hanau rulership , later to the Hanau county and finally to the Hanau-Münzenberg county . The village is still shown on a border map from 1555. So it must have fallen desolately at a later point in time.

After the death of the last Hanau count, Johann Reinhard III. , 1736, Landgrave Friedrich I of Hessen-Kassel inherited the county of Hanau-Münzenberg and thus also the area of the Altenhaßlau office on the basis of an inheritance contract from 1643. In 1821, now located in the " Electorate of Hesse ", called Hesse-Kassel, the newly formed district of Gelnhausen was part of a fundamental administrative reform carried out there . With the Hessian regional reform , this district was then incorporated into the Main-Kinzig district in 1974 .
