Armin Houses

Armin Hauser (born June 30, 1964 in Nieder-Weisel ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 2011 to 2017 he was mayor of Bad Nauheim .

Life

Houses attended the Weidig School in Butzbach and graduated from high school in 1983 . He completed an apprenticeship as a trainee inspector at the city administration of Bad Nauheim and studied at the administrative college in Frankfurt am Main . In September 1986 he received his degree in administrative management (FH).

From October 1986 to October 1991 he worked as a clerk for the city administration of Bad Nauheim. From November 1991 to March 1996 he worked in the State Chancellery of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in Schwerin as a budget officer and deputy head of the “Budget and Organization” department. From April 1996 to September 2001, Hauser was the head of the main and personnel office at the city council of Nidda , then from September 2001 to October 2006 he was the full-time first city councilor of Nidda. From November 2006 to 2011 he was a full-time first city councilor of Bad Nauheim, then from 2011 to 2017 mayor of Bad Nauheim. Since 2018 he has been managing director of the newly founded competence center for telemedicine and e-health Hessen in Gießen .

Hauser has been a member of the CDU since March 2004. Since January 2005 he has been a member of the Christian Democratic Workforce . In April 2006 he became a member of the district assembly of the Wetterau district , after the district assembly election on March 6, 2016, he became its chairman.

In 2011 he ran for the office of mayor of Bad Nauheim. After no candidate was able to achieve a majority in the election on March 27, he prevailed on April 10 in a runoff election with 70.3% against the incumbent Bernd Witzel (UWG). At the end of his term in office, Hausen had fallen out with the local CDU parliamentary group and accordingly did not run again in the 2017 mayoral election. He resigned from the mayor's office in September 2017, and was succeeded by Klaus Kreß , who was not part of the party .

Hauser is married and has a son and a daughter.
