Armin Schaefer (musician)

Armin Schaefer (born April 28, 1966 in Frankfurt am Main ) is the state trombonist in the Evangelical Church in Baden .

Life

Armin Schaefer began playing the trombone and piano at the age of thirteen. Two years later he also started playing the organ . He studied school music (teaching post for grammar school) (main subject trombone ) at the Detmold University of Music and Sport at the University of Paderborn . His teachers were u. a. Heinz Fadle (trombone) and Hermann Bäumer (bass trombone), Hinrich Luchterhandt (composition), Alexander Wagner (choir conductor). Since 1995 he has been working as a trombone attendant in Baden's trombone work, to which about 5500 wind players in about 250 trombone choirs belong to the Evangelical Church in Baden .

Act

His tasks include visits to the trombone choir in North Baden, the management of courses and leisure time, the church music D and C training in the field of wind choir conducting, advice on sheet music and instrument issues, the publication of sheet music and sound carriers, planning and implementation of the Baden State Trombone Day and editorial Work for the "Baden Trombone Choir Journal". The tasks are coordinated in the regional working group of the Baden trombone work and partly carried out in a team with his colleague Heiko Petersen and other lecturers. In addition, he is responsible for the musical direction of the North Baden brass ensemble , the wind group of the University of Church Music Heidelberg and the youth trombone choir of North Baden , all selected ensembles of the Baden trombone work . He writes arrangements for trombone choir and brass ensemble. He is also a lecturer for wind choir conducting and trombone at the University of Church Music in Heidelberg . At Strube-Verlag he is in charge of his own series of works with sheet music for brass instruments under the title "Schweres Blech".
