Arnaud Malherbe

Arnaud Malherbe (born November 20, 1972 ) is a former South African sprinter .

In the 400-meter run , he took part in three World Athletics Championships and two Olympic Games between 1995 and 2000 . Except at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney , where he was eliminated in the preliminary round, he always reached the quarter-finals. In addition, he was from 1996 to 1999 four times in a row South African champions over this distance.

Malherbe's greatest international success was winning the bronze medal in the 4 x 400 meter relay at the 1999 World Athletics Championships in Seville . The South African team in the line-up Jopie van Oudtshoorn , Hendrick Mokganyetsi , Adriaan Botha and Arnaud Malherbe reached the goal in the national record time of 3: 00.20 minutes only as fourth.
