Arne Niemeyer (born November 8, 1981 in Minden ) is a German handball player .
Arne Niemeyer played for GWD Minden from the 1998/99 season . In the 2008/09 season he ran for the Bundesliga club HSV Hamburg . Since summer 2009 he has been under contract with TuS N-Lübbecke . In June 2014, it was agreed to terminate the contract, which ran until 2016, early at the end of the month. He then signed a one-year contract with his former club GWD Minden. By the end of the 2013/14 season, Niemeyer had scored 1,514 goals in 388 Bundesliga games (56 of which were seven meters ). For the 2015/16 season, he first signed a contract with the second division club VfL Eintracht Hagen . This was dissolved before the start of the season in order to continue playing in the first division at TBV Lemgo . After the 2015/16 season, he ended his professional career and joined the TSV Hahlen club for a year .
For the junior national team, he played 19 internationals. For the national handball team , the son of the 1978 world handball champion, Rainer Niemeyer , played 13 games in which he scored 17 goals. Niemeyer studied pedagogy .
