Arno Steinwender (born November 16, 1976 in Vienna ) is an Austrian game designer . In his free time he develops board games , for which he has received several awards.

Life

After studying mathematics and physics at the University of Vienna, she was employed as a teacher. From the website get.to/spiele , a small review database he developed, spieletest.at developed, an information portal on all things game in the DACH region .

Path to the game designer

By chance, Steinwender discovered a call from the Vienna game agency White Castle ( Ronald Hofstätter , Anita Landgraf ), with whom he has often worked since then. His first work was basically unchanged by the Selecta publishing house as Venga-Venga! brought on the market.

Since then, Steinwender has developed an average of 20 game concepts per year and is considered one of the most successful Austrian game designers.

Again and again he takes on commissioned work. He developed games for Wiener Linien and the bicycle detective Tom Turbo .
