Arnold C. Brackman

Arnold Charles Brackman (born March 6, 1923 in New York City , † November 21, 1983 in Danbury , Connecticut ) was an American journalist and author.

Life

Brackmann studied journalism at New York University and subsequently became a journalist and author of books mainly concerned with Southeast Asia and archeology . He was a reporter on the Tokyo trials of Japanese war crimes held in Japan after World War II . In later years he worked for the Christian Science Monitor and the New York Times .

In his book about the joint presentation of their research results by Charles Darwin and Alfred Russel Wallace in 1858, he called this a delicate interaction . In the 1960s and 1970s, Brackman worked at the London Institute for the Study of Conflict , which, according to some sources, was funded by the CIA .

Brackman was married and had one daughter. Until his death he lived in Brookfield Center , Connecticut.
