Arnulf Prasch (born May 18, 1965 in Sankt Veit an der Glan ) is an Austrian radio and television presenter . Since 1996 he has presented the ORF broadcast When the Musi is playing .

Life

Arnulf Prasch grew up in Passering in Kappel am Krappfeld . As a child he learned the piano, recorder, trumpet and accordion, and when he was 18 he founded his own choir. After graduation he began a teaching degree for English Studies and German Studies .

He has been with ORF since 1985, where he started as a radio presenter in the ORF regional studio in Carinthia in the folk music department and designed choral contributions for the news broadcast Carinthia today . He then switched to the current service, completed a journalism training and designed contributions for radio and television information programs. Among other things, he was responsible editor for the ORF studio at the Klagenfurt trade fair for several years.

Since 1996 he has presented the popular ORF television entertainment program Wenn die Musipiele , since 2001 he has also presented Wenn die Musipiele - Open Airs , since 2013 together with Stefanie Hertel . He also moderates musical gala evenings in Austria and Germany; in 1998, for example, he presented the choir gala 1000 voices for Europe for ARD .

Prasch has been a volunteer for the Völkendorf Volunteer Fire Brigade for a long time . He lives in Villach and has a daughter.
