The Arroyo Malo is a river in Uruguay .

It rises in the Tacuarembó department east of Tambores . During its course in a south-easterly direction, it touches Curtina on the southern city limits and crosses under Ruta 5 there . It finally flows a few kilometers downstream of the mouth of the Río Tacuarembó as a right-hand tributary into the Río Negro .
