Arthit Sunthornpit ( Thai : อาทิตย์ สุ นท รพิ ธ , born April 19, 1986 in Khon Kaen ) is a Thai football player on the position of midfielder .

Career

He spent his teenage years at Assumption College Sriracha, on whose football team he also played. From 2007 to 2013 he played for Chonburi FC from Chonburi . In 2007 he became champions of the Thai Premier League with the club and won the Kor Royal Cup in 2007 and 2009 . In the AFC Champions League 2008 he played five out of six group games. In the first group game against Gamba Osaka , the eventual winner of the competition, he scored the 1-0 for Chonburi. The game ended 1-1. In 2012 he was loaned the Hinserie to Wuachon United . In 2014 he left Chonburi and joined the league rivals Chainat Hornbill FC from Chainat . After one season, he moved to Chiangrai United, also playing in the first division, in 2015 . For the club from Ciangrai , he completed 46 games in the first division. PTT Rayong FC signed him in 2017. With the club from Rayong he played in the second division, the Thai League 2 . At the end of the 2018 season he became manager with the club and thus rose to the first division. After promotion, he left Rayong and joined third division club Khon Kaen United FC from Khon Kaen in 2019 . The club played in the Thai League 3 in the Upper Region. At the end of 2019 he became champion with the club and thus rose to the second division.

National team

Arthit has also been a national player for Thailand since 2008 and took part in the ASEAN soccer championship with the team . In the group game against Laos, he scored his first two goals for the national team. Before that, he was already in the U-23 squad and won the gold medal with the team at the Southeast Asian Games in 2007. He was also in the squad at the Southeast Asian Games in 2009 and was used.
