Arthur E. Arling

Arthur E. Arling (born September 2, 1906 in Missouri , † October 16, 1991 in Yucca Valley , California ) was an American cameraman.

Life

Arthur E. Arling trained at the New York Institute of Technology and then found a job with Fox Film Corporation . As a member of the camera crew, he was involved in the filming of Gone With the Wind . Arling also worked as a cameraman in the military service during World War II . For his first film as head cameraman, The Wilderness Calls , he received an Oscar for best camera . As a result, Arling photographed musicals as well as comedies without developing a formative style.
