Arthur von Buddenbrock

Arthur Ludwig Emil Freiherr von Buddenbrock (born October 4, 1850 in Ottlau ; † January 13, 1929 there ) was a landowner and member of the German Reichstag .

origin

His parents were Rudolph von Buddenbrock (1821–1895) and his first wife Emilie, née von der Goltz (1826–1875). His father was already a member of the German Reichstag.

Life

Buddenbrock was a pupil of the cadet corps in Kulm and Berlin . In 1869 he went into active military service, from which he resigned as an invalid in 1875. By 1877 he had learned agriculture in Silesia and East Prussia. Since 1877 he was the owner of the Forken estate in the Fischhausen district and since 1891 tenant of the Ottlau Majorate .

From 1893 to 1898 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives and from 1893 to 1898 a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency administrative district Marienwerder 1 ( Marienwerder , Stuhm ) and the German Conservative Party , but did not join the German Conservative parliamentary group in the Reichstag, but remained an independent conservative . Between 1903 and 1918 he was a member of the Prussian manor house .

He married on November 10, 1878 Gertrud von Reitzenstein (* October 24, 1855 - March 9, 1939), a daughter of the Prussian Major General Egmont von Reitzenstein (1819-1900) from the Unter-Schwarzenstein family. The couple had several children:
