With Viktor von Ebner-Rofenstein he became active in the Corps Chinesia in 1860. When he was inactive , he moved to the Catholic University of Leuven , the University of Graz and the University of Vienna . In 1865 he was promoted to Dr. jur. PhD . After working as an intern at the Innsbruck Lieutenancy and the Ministry of the Interior and Culture, von Enzenberg became District Captain of Merano in 1875. Due to his intervention, the princely castle in Merano was not torn down . For decades he was curator of the Tyrolean State Museum Ferdinandeum . He bequeathed his private collection of Tyrolean coins with a value of 60 million crowns to the Ferdinandeum. This represents the core of the state museum's coin collection.
