Arvid Magnus Ahlberg (born December 23, 1851 in Karlskrona , Blekinge , Sweden ; † December 19, 1932 in Öckerö , Bohuslän , Sweden) was a Swedish landscape and marine painter from the Düsseldorf School .

Life

Ahlberg, son of a marine doctor, first studied at the Technological Institute in Stockholm before working as a marine engineer. He later turned to painting, particularly marine painting. For this he moved to Germany in 1881 and took private lessons from his compatriot Axel Nordgren in Düsseldorf . In 1883 he was represented there in the "Permanent Art Exhibition" by Eduard Schulte . In April 1884 he returned to Karlskrona.
