Aschen is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Schönbach in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 20 building areas with 6,649 m² and 4 gardens on 167 m² in the cadastral community of Aschen , in 1989/1990 there were 20 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 46 and in 2009/2010 there were 32 buildings on 47 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 103 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of 1979/1980 and 187 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 94 hectares and 196 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 88 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 196 hectares. The average soil climate number of ashes is 13.6 (as of 2010).
