The brook rises in the Hunsrück in the north of the local community of Nörtershausen belonging to Pfaffenheck at 398  m above sea level. NN . From here it flows primarily in a north-westerly direction. In doing so, he takes up numerous short watercourses that flow from the surrounding heights of the Koblenz state forest .

After about half of the way, the course of the Aspeler Bach turns north. About 1.7 km before the mouth, the Schwalberbach flows on the right, the only major tributary. The main direction of the river also changes here, with the stream flowing in a winding westward direction. Shortly before the mouth, the stream flows past Linkemühle and Schwalbermühle. On the northern outskirts of Niederfell the Aspeler Bach flows out at 70  m above sea level. NN as a right tributary into the Moselle.
