Assassination Classroom ( Japanese 暗殺 教室 , Ansatsu Kyōshitsu ) is a manga series by Yūsei Matsui that was released in Japan between July 2012 and March 2016. It falls into the genres of action and comedy and was adapted as an anime short film in 2013 and as an anime television series from 2015 to 2016.
The series follows the octopus-like teacher Koro-Sensei and his students, who have the task of killing him and thus preventing the destruction of the earth. Students are seen as outsiders in their school and are taught in a separate building.
action
The series revolves around a tentacle-like monster named Koro-sensei who can move at Mach 20. After Koro-sensei destroyed around 70% of the moon , he wants to do the same with the earth . Before he implements this plan, he would like to teach the 3-E (in German "9-E") at the Kunugigaoka Middle School as a class teacher for one year. She is the worst class in the school that the other students look down on. In addition, the class is used by the school management as a deterrent.
As a reward for killing the monster, 10 billion yen (approx. 80 million euros ) are offered. From then on, the students try to kill Koro-sensei during and outside of class. Separate ammunition was developed for killing with one shot, which can only harm Koro-sensei but not people.
Over time, Koro-sensei's individual lessons make the students more and more successful and can compete with students in other classes. In addition, the different strengths and weaknesses of the 3-E students emerge in the classroom. The focus is on Nagisa Shiota, who notes down all of Korosensei's weaknesses in order to find a possible weak point in his class teacher and target.
Since the Japanese government does not want to entrust the killing of the monster to the 3-E alone, they smuggle more people into the class. Irina Jelavic becomes the new English teacher of the class, which she simply calls "Bitch-sensei". With Tadaomi Karasuma, an employee of the Ministry of Defense, the class will soon have a new PE teacher who teaches the students numerous techniques of killing. He is also responsible for smuggling more professional killers into the class.
