The Asseburg'sches family vault , as new vault called, is a Grade II listed mausoleum in the village of Meisdorf the community Falkenstein / Harz in the Harz in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located southwest of Meisdorf and Meisdorf Castle, not far from the left bank of the Selke below the Klusberg . The Selketalstieg leads along directly in front of the mausoleum . At the hereditary burial there is stamp number 207 of the Harz hiking pin .

Architecture and history

The mausoleum served as a burial place for the Counts of Asseburg-Falkenstein . The representative building was erected in 1832, according to other information in 1834, made of sandstone in the neo-Gothic style . There are three ogival portals that are spanned by eyelashes .
