At Fillmore East is a double - live album of the Allman Brothers Band , which was published 1971st The recording marked the band's breakthrough and is still one of their best-selling albums today. It is widely regarded as one of the most significant live recordings in rock music history.

The album was recorded at the Fillmore East Club in New York City on March 12th and 13th, 1971. The music is a mix of blues , southern rock and jazz .

It reached position 13 on the Billboard Albums Chart.

In 2003, the music broadcaster VH1 placed At Fillmore East at number 59 on the Greatest Albums of All Time . The Rolling Stone magazine called the album in the same year at position 49 of the list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time .

In 1992 the pieces from the album were released again together with the live tracks from the album Eat a Peach and a recording of the piece One way out from another Fillmore concert under the title " The Fillmore Concerts ".

At Fillmore East was awarded gold by the RIAA in October 1971 and platinum in August 1992, making it the band's first album to reach platinum status.
